§ 3. Elections.

Latest version.

The first general election for the office of mayor and council members under the terms of this Charter, shall be held the fourth Tuesday in May, 1975. Commencing in 1977, and every two years thereafter, the General election shall be held on the second available calendar election date as provided in state law, as amended from time to time. Should state law be amended to no longer set forth consolidated election dates, the general election shall be held on the third Tuesday in May.
