§ 2. Submission of measures to electors.

  • The mayor and council may, of their own motion, submit to the electors at any election, any ordinance, referendum or measure that the mayor and council, or the qualified electors of the city shall have authority to enact or submit to referendum, in the same manner as is provided in this Charter for ordinances or measures submitted on petitions. At any special election called under the provisions of the Charter, there shall be no bar to the submission by the council of other questions to a vote of the electors in addition to the ordinances or measures herein provided.
